2009 was the last time we heard 50 Cent and Eminem on wax together–on both “Crack a Battle” and “Psycho.” Seems a million miles away in this digital age, right? The old Aftermath pals today mark their bi-annual reunion on Fif’s new single, “My Life,” though. The track, which will eventually find a home on the forthcoming Street King Immortal LP, is founded on hip-hop sensibilities, with both MC’s delivering some pretty hefty punches into the backing breakbeat. With a Cee-Lo Green-esque chorus, Maroon 5′s Adam Levine helps to soften the blows so tweenagers and their soccer moms can hum along to the tune as well.
